baby's first sock
Thanks everyone for your encouraging words on the sock...in much the same vein as I would encourage the first successful "glueing together of two pieces of cardboard" from one of my students.
Eh well, we all have to start somewhere don't we?
The first sock is done! Ends are woven in!
I've even cast on and done a good solid inch of the second one.
Yay Team Sock.
Oh...and by the way...
the whole sock thing?
Now I get it.
I think I could get addicted to socks.

Bwahhahhah! Another one joins the dark side. It's a good thing to always have a sock on the needles - once you've made a couple of pairs you can do it in your sleep, and they're soothing mindless knitting.
Welcome to the club. :)
The sock looks great!
OH YES you could. Congratulations on the first sock! :-)
YAY! I missed out on the earlier sock steps, but that makes it all the more exiting that there's a finished one already! I love the cheerful red-orange. Poppysocks.
Rock on! Way to go with the sock. You're a master!
And hey, little girl, if you need any good online sources for hand dyed sock yarn, email me.... *grin*
Yay you - and yay for another sock convert! Knitting socks gives such a sense of satisfaction and history. I think hand-knitted socks are one of the most luxurious things you can have (or gift to others).
Yay, Team Sock, indeed! Now, back to my socks. Must finish that darn Monkey!!
Socks are fun- welcome to the club. so many patterns and techniques to try once you're hooked.. Just need to watch out for the much feared "Second Sock Syndrome"- I recommend casting on sock 2 straight away, or developing a love for wearing mis-matched socks..
