Kung Hei Fat Choy
I really wanted to make a rat toy for Chinese New Year.
Then I started thinking about all the other signs in the Chinese Zodiac as well.
Twelve toys from scratch is a big ask isn't it?
But in the meantime I'm happy just doodling frivolously in my margins.
(reject : too much like ratatouille)
I knew there was no way I was going to get it done in time, but I've been doodling anyway.

I ruv the ram. Very Rauschenberg!
Love your "doodles." And the rodent with pants idea. That would be the cutest.
Happy Year of the Rat!
They are all pretty damn fine (rat in pants gets my vote), but how would you make a pig? Can't believe I'm a pig...
Happy Rat year. Should be, by all accounts, a fun one.
ALL rats should wear buttoned pants.
I'm a rat, but I like the shaggy ram best... Your sketch is awesome.
Hey---Pogies are up on my blog, to end the mystery....!

Awesome sketches. They have great character. Would love to see the critters come into reality too!
monkey please. a long skinny one just like the sketch!
i can't wait to see your squishy menagerie.
Funny thing about this Rat year, it has been making me do rat things. I am a rat, I have been chasing holes in our house to say goodbye to a rat who has taken up residence (now departed), and I too, had a wholly overwhelming urge to make a rat toy. Amazing I actually did it, not sure what all this ratness means, maybe the planets are lining up for something big.
