small step
Lil' Jasper - the intended recipient of the Bonnet - is here, a couple of weeks early.
Matching booties are needed pronto.
The 2 pieces on the left weigh in at 5 grams.
The remaining walnut-sized ball of yarn also weighs in at exactly 5 grams.
Argh..will it make it? C'mon little ball-ey..you can do it.

knit faster - I'm sure that helps! :)
Oh cute boot(ie)! I reckon knitted garments are heavier than the yarn. Of course, I have absolutely no facts to back it except the power of positive thought. And very short yarn tails when casting on, plus a swish method of casting off which uses no yarn (amazing!). I read about it on a blog which of course I now can't find. It involves (I think) pulling each loop through the one before with a crochet hook and dropping the loop before (or something like that...) Good luck!
eee!
good luck!
